A cozy stay in the old city !

Cozy and quiet rooms with en suite bathroom and queen beds

Sleep tight in cozy and quiet rooms at B&B A la Decouverte in the old town of Quebec city.

We offers simple but pretty guest rooms. Each room has an en suite bathroom with a large corner shower. The rooms are very quiet and we keep them very clean for our guests enjoyment. All the windows can be opened to let fresh air enter the room. It is possible to leave the windows open at night as the city is quiet.

The house has very thick stone walls on each side (more than 3 feet) making it a very quiet house : no chance of hearing the neighbors !

This house has seen the daily life of its successive occupants throughout its 173 years of existence

The house was rebuilt on its foundations after the large fire of May 1845 that destroyed an entire neighborhood of the city, the second one of 2 larges fires in the spring of 1845.

Room amenities

For your comfort, we make available in each room a pedestal fan, a hair-dryer, clean towels and toiletteries (including a natural hand-made soap made by Nathalie!) High-speed wireless Internet access is available in the house and rooms. For everyone’s tranquility, there are no TV sets in the rooms nor in the B&B !

Artwork and maritime-inspired decor through out the house and rooms

The artwork in the guest rooms and B&B was made by Nathalie. The decor of the rooms was inspired by the maritime environment of the old port of Quebec city and the importance of the waterways to the discovery and foundation of Old Quebec city by Samuel de Champlain in 1608.
